The lack of sun in Washington state is not a stereotype; the Seattle area enjoys just 152 sunny days per year. But the Northwest is rich in another surprising source of Vitamin D: mushrooms. Regional grower Ostrom’s Mushrooms wanted to educate locals about their brand and its benefits.

The hand drawn look of the brand refresh leaned into the company’s homegrown appeal while highlighting them as a much-needed natural source for Vitamin D. A new tagline, “If you can’t get sun, get mushrooms” resonated with a sun-starved audience while educating them about the vitamins in Ostrom’s Mushrooms. Messaging was carried out on vehicles, packaging, and point of sale collateral and displays.
